Hi, The vestibule floor tiles in our house are rather grubby.

Ive just tried cleaning then with fairy liquid and a scrubbing pad, but its not having the desired effect, I was putting some real elbow grease into it aswell. Theres dirt coming up but tiles are still dirty.

Are there any products I could use to aid the dirt removal

here is a picture, the top left it where I hit the tiles, they are brighter but i will have no fingers left carrying on.

Probably the best bet is to ask extensive, they sell loads of products that should do the trick-

http://www.extensive.co.uk/

Hopefully they will recommend a chemical cleaner and perhaps a sealer

These tiles are really old, and they didn't used to seal them the same way they do now, so the dirt over the years gets ingrained.

Any chemical cleaner you try, test it in a little corner of each colour of tile first, as some of the colours are a thin layer of colour on top of the main body of the tile.

Also, take care what you wash them with, as ordinary floor cleaners will take the new seal off.

Following on UHM's advice, might want to see what Lithofin can offer as well.

http://www.lithofin-uk.co.uk/

They offer stuff for cleaning and sealing ceramics like these, might be an idea to ask them for advise.

As BG has said, do a test area in the corner to avoid making a mess of the lot if something goes wrong!
