Parcel delivery

Post by Gadget »

I got home around 2pm today, and found a card on the doormat, It was from 'Business Post'. The guy/gal had written on the card 'parcel over side gate' and sure enough he/she had dropped the parcel over the fence on to the path along side the house. Incredibly it wasn't very wet despite it raining on and off all day up here, but I couldn't believe anyone would just drop a parcel over quite a high fence on to concrete!...I know better now,so anyone had any thing like this happen to you??..... :cussing: :angryfire:

They do things like that all the time.

They also lie about trying to deliver parcels :angryfire:

Your emoticons did it.

One of my in-laws sent some post to my 5 yr old son for getting him 5 mtr badge and they didn't put enough postage on the envelope - by 6p. They have charged an extra £1 to put a card through our door and have us pick up the letter - thats some surcharge. If it was for anyone else in the house I would have told 'em to stuff it but the missus wants to pay up and get whatever the card is ::b

i have a parcel safe box, as never in when parcels arrive!

They get funny about putting stuff in it sometimes, unless is written on "additional instructions" :cussing:

What really bugs me is, our neighbours on both sides, and a newsagent just 2 doors along are always willing to take any parcels in for us!!

If the parcel won't stand up to being dropped 2m onto concrete it's not packed properly.

How likely is that Stods? Plus the fact that it can get soaked, or they might be chucking it to be devoured by your dog

Or worse some ned follows the delivery guy for a bit and then backtracks behind him nipping over gates and nicking the parcels.

I had a jacket go missing, the courier said they put it over the garden gate, they didnt as I never received, I had a bit of bother trying to convince them I never had it.

The missus paid up and we eventually received the underpaid post - it turned out to be a card with a pencil in it so the weight of the pencil really tipped the scales and cost me £1.06 (probably more than the pencil!) ::b
