Key trapping
After inadvertently downloading some software (didn't use it but deleted/uninstalled it straight away) it's left my right-click "search for xxxx on Google" as a "search for xxx on Babylon"
How can I restore the right-click search back to Google?

Re: Key trapping
You need to get rid of babylon quickly.
it will be in all you browser, IE, Firefox, Chrome etc, and you'll need to do each one.
If you have another computer use that to do a google and follow the instructions.

Ouchie!!!
Just looked at what it does - hope you get sorted.
If any family get this kind of stuff, I just restore their machines - I don't think I'd be happy that it's ever really gone, even after all the scanning, hijack this stuff, etc.
Bummer!

Re: Key trapping
All fixed - thanks for the tips
Doesn't it just grind your gears when the install options swap between 'tick the box to accept' and 'tick the box to reject' ??? This is what caught me out They changed the option DURING the install....... tw@ts.

Re: Key trapping
Not so - I haven't had a SINGLE problem with any torrent. In fact, if you know how to use torrents, they are as safe as 'real' software can be. This particular issue arose from the CNET download site..... supposedly a legit operation.thescruff wrote:Be aware, anything "Torrent" is going to be malware.

Re: Key trapping
most problems i come across are people browsing sites with internet explorer without an anti virus
(how they managed to build IE with so many back doors to install stuff i'll never know!)
usually easily solved by using firefox or chrome!
