Swivel?

Post by PatBet »

Hello,

A bit help please.

Swivel project.

30mm with 3mm wall box section with a tube welded in, then a bolt thru tube.

What size tube will fit inside the above box section (wall must be at least 2mm).
What size bolt will fit in tube (good fit, no play and kept greased with nipple.)

Or would it be easier just drilling 30mm solid box?

Thanks for any help.

22mm*2mm wall erw tube would fit in it, but might be a bit sloppy..depends on the seam in the box.
Then a bolt for the tube, M16 too loose?

Or how about M24 stud straight into the box section?

Tube will be welded into box so sloppy fit not a problem.
Bolt must be perfect fit however.

Ideally what I require is 30mm solid box section drilled 16mm to 22mm then a matching bolt.
A grease nipple will be used in box.

Might be easier in the long run if you can do it or get it done easily.
