home page address

Hi Folks

was putting an add-on onto my computer and it changed my home page address. Have tried everything to change my home page address back to what it was or anything else for that matter and it just refuses to change.

The home page address at the moment and the one I am wanting to get out of is conduit.com

It was Mozilla Firefox.

Clear your cookies.. Then clear your cache.

Go to Tools | Options | General and set your home page to show blank page.

Shut down Firefox.

Reboot the machine. Open FF and try it. If it still defaults to wrong homepage you could have been hit with Malware attack. Run scan and see if you can find the problem.

Worst case scenario would be to shut down FF, delete your FF profile and reopen FF. This will create a new profile for you. Back up any bookmarks before doing that though..

Apologies for the daft question, I am a bit of a golden oldie and a technophobe, I know how to clear the cookies but how do you clear the cache, after that I am good to go.
