So... why do these people insist upon buying huge amounts of gifts, impractical gifts, things that they know we already have... it happens, from distant relatives, but these people should know better.
Mainly for the kids....
Microscope, the giver of this gift knows that she already has one, I can remember them mentioning it, only about 6weeks ago..
Trainsets, 2 seperate chuggington train sets.... incompatible with each other...from the same person....
Clocks, both got a wall clock from the same person, great.... if they didn't share a room..... and they tick loud as hell too.
Story book, same sodding type of story book every year for the last few, from the same person.
And when I asked specificaly for no big presents, they take that to mean get hundreds of small things instead.
And as for this chocolate coin maker crap, great, if half the rubbish wasn't missing...and it had some instructions.
I'd sooner everyone got them a gift each, which was half decent quality, and had some thought put into it.
Miserable grumpy sod, eh.

Re: Christmas gifts
Not at all. Put the items in the bin, seriously, too much grief to go on ebay, and that's where junk belongs. When it comes to Christmas people will, and do buy any old tat, all I ask is why? why waste money on something the other person neither wants or needs and as such becomes a waste of money.Hitch wrote:..........Miserable grumpy sod, eh.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
