Getting Marks off of Stainless Steel Cooker Hood

Post by Angling mad »

I have stupidly used some Mr Muscle oven cleaner to get some stubborn grease marks off the front area of our cooker hood. It looked as though it had worked a treat. I rinsed off well and did not let it dry as per instructions but then when dried it appears to have stained or left some sort of residue which I cannot shift and now worried about how best to get them off. I have thought about using one the micromesh type pads but worried if they will mess up the brushed steel finish. I welcome feedback from anyone who has knowledge of working with stainless steel or have overcome this or similar issue before.

I put this on the general DIY forum but someone suggested I put it here as well so sorry for the double up.
