My wife just found a crack in our shower tray and rather than replace the shower tray only as we had wanted to get the bathroom re done we thought we would sort out getting some people in to quote. We are wanting to change it into a wet room. This obviously means re tile the entire room. Firstly as this room is partly covered by a sloping ceiling is it normally alright to tile on this secondly is it normally cheaper to use larger tiles (less work for tiler but more expensive tiles) or use smaller tiles (cheaper tiles but more work for tiler)

Can't comment without seeing the job, but as a general rule of thumb.......

Large tiles need perfect walls, otherwise there can be quite a bit of extra work in comparison to putting smaller tiles up on the same wall. Depends on the tile and wall but could be 50% longer.

I did a designer bathroom last year took 5 days to get the tiles up and only less than 20 were full tiles, all the others were cuts, due to the size of them.
