Makita BCL 180

My latest Makita purchase is the bcl180 18v vacuum cleaner. I think it is an absolutely cracking bit of kit! It is only small and obviously not as powerfull as a mains powered vac but if you only need to have a quick hoover round at the end of a job or for catching dust while your drilling it is great.

As soon as i got it i put a battery in and hoovered my kitchen tiles, laminate in the hall and sitting room carpet and it did a very good job. This took me about 10minutes and the battery had been in my drill so i'm not really sure how much juice was left in it but it lasted the 10mins constant use with no problem.

The only slight fault with it is the fact that you cannot lock the trigger switch on so you have to keep it pressed in while you use it but that is not really a big problem at all.

Thank you for that one, I've been wondering if any of the leading tool companies made a cordless hoover yet as it would be seriously handy on many occasions.... Just haven't had the chance to look into it yet.... That's another one for the wish list!

The bare unit is as cheap as chips but if you have to buy a battery and charger for it then it starts to get very expensive. Great buy if you already have gear running the 18v li-ion batteries though
