Buy, Sell, Free forum rules.

When typing the topic title please either state if you wish to sell, buy or post a free item by using those words in the title, please also specify this in the body of the post, for example-

sell: Dewalt DW999 sds drill

buy: Railway sleepers

Free: Logs- buyer to collect


Sellers

The sell forum is for members with more than 100 posts to advertise their items for sale. There is a 100 post requirement before you can offer an item for sale to prevent newbies from joining with the sole intention of selling.

When offering an item for sale please describe it accurately, if you can please take pictures and please attach them to the post. Using a second party image host creates work for the admins and mods who have to clean up the dead links when you delete the images from your hosting account. Using the attachment mod means that the pictures will be there for as long as the post is. People who continually post items for sale without using the attachment mod may have their permission to post removed.

Please do not post items that are for sale on ebay or elsewhere, the whole point of the sell forum is for you to sell something for free without having to pay a listing fee or final value fee. People who post links to items for sale in other places will lose the right to sell in the forum.

Please state where the item is for sale, this is beneficial for people that live within travelling distance as they may be more inclined to purchase items locally, especially if the item is expensive to post.

The sell forum is for people that want to sell an item for a fixed price, if you want people to bid on the item please use ebay instead.

Ultimate Handyman LTD cannot be held responsible for any items that are bought or sold through the forum. It is your responsibility to check the credentials of the buyer before selling anything to them.

Illegal items, fake goods, alcohol, weapons, Animals or anything that is not permitted for sale in the UK may not be sold.
When selling please write a descriptive title, so for example if you are selling a Dewalt DW999 SDS drill a good title would be “Sell: Dewalt DW999 SDS drill”, not “drill for sale”.
If you are willing to post the item please get a quote for the postage first and display this information in the post.
If you agree a sale please get the buyers full name and address and land line number if possible.
Never post an item without receiving payment first and remember that if you use Paypal the buyer could do a charge back and claim the money back. Never send a paypal payment as a gift as this makes filing a dispute through paypal almost impossible.


Buyers


When buying an item please be vigilant, check the members post count and ensure you trust them before entering into any deal.

If possible go and view the item before agreeing to pay for it.

If you agree a sale please get the sellers full name and address and land line number if possible.

Free items

So you have an item that you no longer want and think someone else may have use for it?

You can post these items in the free to good home section, if you are willing to post the item please specify the approximate postage cost in the post.
