Broken mp tray support flap on my computer

Post by GarvielLoken »

Hi there,

can anyone help me with this.

At the front of my printer (Brother HL-6050 DN) there is a tray where you can feed the paper through. Ive broken the hinges that allow a smaller bit/tray to fold out (pic a). I have attached a pic of the other side which is not broken (pic b).

does any one have any ideas for a temporary fix or know of anywhere where i can buy a new piece.

Many many thanks in advance.

What I would do: Make a mould with some plasticine or blue tack stuff around outside, be generous if space allows for a buttress and a dob in the hole where the pivot will go, fill void with2 part resin (araldite).
A bit of a bodge but might work, paint with tipex when set.
