B&Q trade card discount

Popped in to B&Q on way home tonight to pick up 2 Stanley sortmaster organisers for work I handed them over with my trade card saying I don't think I will get anything off but worth a try!!! Well stone me i got a grand total of 6p discount.
The question is why firstly and what am I going to do with the saving

The budget...1p off a pint of beer, so that's going to get you some way to your next free pint!! Keep using that "trade card" and you'll be able to afford the bus fair one day to get you into town
