How can anyone be a tradesman?
We just recently had the old boiler and hot water cylinder removed. In the old airing cupboard I was going to make it into a wardrobe as the room is only small. I mentioned to the other half that I was going to make it in a wardrobe and she said she wanted shelving to put the baby stuff in.
Brilliant, even easier!
I measured it up and went and bought three pieces of 25mm thick MDF for the shelves and had the rest of the sheet cut into 75mm strips as I’ll use these to fix to the walls to hold the shelves.
When we return home I remove the existing shelf and remove all the old pipes and foam the holes.
I then ask Angie where she wants the shelves putting.
She replies “where is the rail going to hang the clothes?”
WHAT F*CKING RAIL- YOU SAID YOU WANTED SHELVES FOR THE BABY STUFF
How can anyone be a tradesman when you have to deal with THICK people?
Obviously I'm in a bad mood now and really can't be arsed with the stupid airing cupboard and the even stupider girlfriend.
What would have been an easy job has now been made 10 times harder.
I might just take the p!ss and put up one shelf with a hanging rail underneath

..........and room for the shoes.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Re: How can anyone be a tradesman?
It was bad enough when I checked the Tradepoint catalogue and saw that they sold 25mm MDF, although it was in a size that I was not familiar with- 1220*2240
I needed 3 pieces @ 850mm square but decided to just cut three pieces 850mm by the full length of the sheet divided by 3 which was about 750mm, the guy in B&Q on the saw was most helpful and could operate the saw no problem. He cut me two pieces, then noticed that the last piece was bigger than the rest
Yes, Tradepoint had published the wrong size in the catalogue and the sheet was actually 1220*2440
Anyway I have found a quick solution to the hanging space, 2 pieces of 22mm pipe that was removed from the airing cupboard originally

Re: How can anyone be a tradesman?
I thought you said you'd had the "OLD BOILER REMOVED" so why is Angie still there?
Growing old is compulsory, growing up is not!
