Got a glass splashback to fit behind a free standing cooker, 900 x 700 onto new plasterboard.
Going to fit a slim batten below cooker level to support the glass, what prep do you recommend for the plasterboard and what adhesive would you use to hold it in place?

Thanks for the link, confirms what I thought re adhesive, I think Zinsser GARDZ would be OK for sealing the plasterboard - soon know if it falls off!

You can stick straight onto the plasterboard. never seen it sealed before hand and never pulled a splashback or mirror off from a sealed plasterboard. So if they stay put for 20 years without sealing, it must be fine.
