I've got a routed internal corner (90deg) join on my laminate worktop, which runs parallel to sink and is about 80mm away from the the sink. The original installer didnt do the best job in the world - and had a go at filling the joint with colourfill which appeared to grout it up fairly well.
Anyway the inevitable(?) happened and the dampness from the sink has got into it and blown it out in places. I expect ultimately I'm going to have to replace this worktop, and likely with something water proof in future.
I'm assuming these corner join jigs all follow the same staggered pattern?
Does someone sell a bit of trim that comes up from the inside endge of the corner and follows the profile back to the wall?
I basically want to cut/route out the join and slot some sort of profiled trim strip in, with a load of silicon underneath to cover it up and seal it before it gets any worse.

Sort of, the problem is the cut is mitred in and isn't a straight cut like is show in that second link. I need something that follows the same cut....

Re: Fix for water damaged routed corner joint
they are for butt joining rather than a masons miter
its bad design to have a join within 300mm [preferably more ]as dishes will be laid to the side

If it's a 90 degree angle then is there a reason it couldn't have be placed facing away from the sink as opposed parallel to it?
