Plastic Decking

Has anyone else used this UPM Profi decking? It's quite impressive, I did a 12m2 deck on a balcony today with it to replace the old wooden decking. It cuts same as wood but installs so easily with T clips and stainless steel screws, so no screwing through boards. It's not cheap though, but fairly maintenance free!!

Wow, Nice job, it looks almost computer generated - what a spot for sitting out. Is thata bit of Dorset in the background?

Couldn't buy it from anywhere! No one wants to sell it!!!

How much for that area - just materials!??

Seems like only TP are distributors for this. Not sure the exact price as the client bought it but I think it was in the region of £480 + vat, for 24 boards, a step and 2 packs of clips/screws.

Awesome installation, plus awesome product.

We saw it at a garden center in the hot tub section and it had been abused to hell, but still looked mint. Phoned all the places that sell it and kept getting 'we will send a rep out....'. NO, I just want supply....."oh, we'll call you back then" and none of them ever bothered.

Went to the hot tub place twice, who said they done supply. First time they were waiting for a price list update. The second time the manager was out. Then I phoned, the guy had FORGOT so I flipped on the phone at him. He started apologising, which angered me more (the tone) and I tore him to bits and left him a mess on the phone.

Gave up and got softwood in the end. Good to know for the future though!

Nice install

There's a few places that do it, I first saw it back in 09, it will be hot to walk on in this sun.

What's the chances of it melting/ warping? A few years ago the council put some composite/plastic benches in parks and the warped in the sun

Thats the sort of stuff i would like for a small deck in my garden.Is it slippery in the winter like timber goes ?

I keep thinking about composite decking a small area of the garden, but there are lots of trees.

I first saw this in a hot tub place, the deck was wet from all the water coming out the demo tub - wasn't in the slightest bit slippery, which is why I wanted it so much (plus no painting/oiling).
