Tiling to the top of a window alcove.

Following our heavy handed window fitters putting in a new Uvpc bathroom window, they obviously had to strip the tiles to the window alcove.

My job now is to put them back. Fine. But...

I've never tiled to the top - I.e. underneath if you like, of a window alcove, so is there a special trick to ensuring the tiles don't drop off while they set please?

Do you wedge them in some way? Or will the viscosity of the adhesive hold them?

No premixed for me, in my aladins cave of leftover addys & grout, i have some unibond rapid set flexible or some BAL single part flexible. One of these should do I guess, albeit the BAL is far, far better I find.

Thanks.

Opened grouts and adhesives normally get binned at my end, but if you want to try them then go for it.

You can use a bit of board to hold the tiles up as the adhesive goes off, just use some timber to prop the board into place.

Depending on the weight of each tile, you can probably just stick them straight up and they will stay there.
