Bosch 10.8v Drill Driver + 2x 2.0Ah Batteries £107.95

This looks to be a good deal on the bosch 10.8v drill driver.
This is the one with the quick change hex chuck.
The killer part of this deal though, is the 2x2.0AH batteries. These are the latest high capacity batteries from Bosch.
If you have any of the Bosch 10.8v range, this might be a good way to get a couple of higher capacity batteries into your collection.

whilst i dont have this tool
i have both the chuck version and the hammer drill version so cant justify a new tool
i also have seven batteries and 2 chargers so cant justify on that grounds

Brushless versions of the 10.8v drivers are going to be available very soon:

• GSR 10.8 V-EC
  GSR 10.8 V-EC HX

Bosch forum reps confirm end Aug in Germany, Oct in UK. Bosch System Specialists first, then other Bosch dealers. Hopefully this means there will be more good deals on the 10.8-2-LI models.

I have the hex chuck version from a few years back, bit bigger than this one
also the impact driver,
and the standard chuck version
I only bought this for the batteries really.
I'll sell the rest of the kit on.

Next best price i've seen for this kit with these batteries is about £137, so quite a saving. CPC even sell the same driver with the old 1.3Ah batteries for £130ish

Goot to know Bosch are still developing these tools. I started with my first 10.8v hex driver about 6 years ago, this was the first one in the range I believe. It had 1.0Ah batteries, and a non-locking hex chuck. (this was fun cos when you drilled a hole in something, pull the drill back and the bit would stay in the workpiece. :)

Now I just need to find a nice big bag or box to keep them all in together.

i had a spare bosch 10.8v buzzy toy as i like 2 off any crutial tools
as my brother is a plumber he was forever borrowing it at the cost off a bottle off whisky

when ryobi brought out there buzzy toy i no longer needed 2 bosch

i then put together a package with the origional single speed hex driver the old very bulky 2 speed drill driver a torch 3 or4 batteries the buzzy toy and several blades and sanding attachments for £200
he now doesn't have to use a bosch 24v drill driver for everything
and i got rid off all the old stuff

he actually saves over £30 every time he doesn't borrow mine if you include the wasted time borrowing and returning it

I got around to opening it last night,
It's a good inch shorter than the old hex driver, and about an inch longer than my ryobi One+ angle driver.

I might make up a kit of hex driver, battery and charger for ebay and see how it goes.

i actually bought the ryobi angle drill because it looks compact in the picture compared to the dewalt 18v angle drill


how deceptive pictures can be
its about 20% bigger and single speed
dewalt 11" tall and 4 1/4" head
ryobi 12 3/4" tall and 4 3/4 at the head
although to be fair the ryobis additional length is to allow the battery to swivel to 90/180/270 degrees which is extremely helpful at allowing screws to be driven in at an angle that is often the case in confined spaces
anyway it only cost about £27 so not a bad deal
