Cutting a chimney hood.

Post by CHIPPYAL »

I've managed to avoid this over the years but I have no option but to reduce a stainless steel chimney hood.

Whats the best way, metal cutting jigsaw blade was my first thought

Suggestions welcomed

I use a small angle grinder with a very thin metal cutting blade.

Masking tape on first, and clamp a straight edge across covering the face edge, any slips will then be in the waste.
One day it will all be firewood.
