Software needed.....

...I would like to be able to generate a map of the local area and have those 'location pins' pop up at strategic locations within it. Does anyone know of software that will allow me to do this? Is there a facility in Google Earth to allow this (not being familiar with GE I have no idea).

Thanks for that wee eck - I've been scouring the interweb and come up with "imapbuilder" of which there is a demo download I've now got. If this does what I want it looks like the solution to my problems.

If anyone comes up with a different answer I'd be happy to take a shufty.
