I managed to oversleep last week.  First time in many years too. I use my phone as my alarm clock and have it set for 7:25am on weekdays only. Bloody thing had not gone off. I was woken at 10 past 9 by our dog licking my face (reckon he wanted out) Checked the phone and noticed 3 missed calls on it too. Got up and dialled my phone off the house phone. It lit up, with our number, but no sound whatsoever came from it. Didn't even vibrate either.
Took the battery out and replaced it again, turned the phone on and tried again. This time it's ringing, vibrating and generally doing what it should. Now got the proper alarm clock set up for 7.30 am (as a standby just in case.

I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old but that alarm only works on the weekend.

During the week they sleep until after 7 (when I am already on the M4) come weekends when I could use some sleep they seem to wake up at 6:20, somebody try and explain that to me :dunno:

I have cats that do a similar thing.

I have three alarms?
First one goes off at 06:20.
Next one is set for 06:50, and final one is set for 07:26.
So if I miss one, the next one is bound to get me up. The alarms are on two phones. So if one has a dodgy battery, the other one is bound to work :thumbright:

I still want an alarm clock, but you may like to know if you are with BT You can call *55*xxxx#
where xxxx is a 4 digit time. i.e 0730. Your phone will ring at that time. It costs about 10p

When I travel and I'm off out of the pop, I have three alarms, all 5 minutes apart, each progressively further away from the bed

I have my phone as my alarm clock, but I also have an alarm clock which I set if I'm really tired or if I've been drinking. I also put the phone on the other table where I have to get out of bed to turn it off if I think I might switch it off in my sleep.

Someone I used to live with slept like a log, and had an alarm clock that made helicopter noise and shouted in drill sergeant voice "hup, hup time to get up!!!! You could also set it so that the helicopter on top of it flew off and the alarm didn't turn off til you'd caught the damn thing and put it back on the base. We all used to borrow it if we absolutely had to get up- it could wake the dead!
