Hi all, I'm planning to make the cabinets for a kitchen refurb in a house were moving into. Thinking of using a mixture of birch ply for the carcasses and mrmdf for the fronts. Was wondering what you good people would use and what sort of approach you'd take with fixtures and fittings. Also any little tips or hints to consider.
Thanks J

The fixtures and fittings used to be readily available from WoodFit in Chorley although there are many iother suppliers out there such as Isaac Lord in High Wycombe, Hafele and Hettich to name just a few. Whatever you do do stuck to the "System 32" approach for all your sizes and locations and you'll find things much easier. Also don't skimp on the hinges - use quality makes sucjh as Blum, Hettich, Grass, Mepla, Salice, etc and pay extra for clip-on hinges because they are far easier to install. Personally I'm unconvinced about birch plywood, especially the Chinese stuff which is full of stresses (i.e. it warps when you cut it) and even the best stuff is rarely completely flat
