A new tool coming up for you guys

Post by Wes »

This is from the same guy that made the back butter buddy. I'm not on commission btw :-) I like new gadgets that will help the trades. What's your thoughts chaps/chapesses.

I personally think the concept could do with tweaking as it's rare (in the UK anyway) that there'll be a flush floor soil outlet (forget the name). Perhaps the circular template could be an adjustable outer gauge???

Trouble is Wes it would be mostly the DIYERS that would benefit from it and they wouldn't do enough to warrant buying one.

It isn't that hard to take a couple of measurements from the tiles either side for marking up.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work

Fair points chaps...I'm a sucker for nifty looking tools :-) It's also pretty easy to make a template out of craft paper/cardboard etc.

You can also make a paper/cardboard template for installing wood on stairs, but there's a 'stair spider' template type gizmo for that too.

Yea I think it's the designer punting to the manufacturer or something along them lines. I see your point Chez. I should have thought of that before I posted it. Could be upsetting someone there.

The video did show up in my youtube feed though. If the author didn't want it showing he should have made the video private..
