Prison system a Joke...
In the news today...
"A violent armed robber dubbed "The Skull Cracker" who is serving 13 life sentences has gone missing after temporarily being allowed out of prison on licence.
Michael Wheatley earned his notorious nickname after pistol-whipping victims during raids on banks and building societies, stealing around £45,000.
The 55-year-old carried out 13 raids in total between June 2001 and April 2002 in branches from Southampton in Hampshire to Royston in Hertfordshire.
He was on parole from a 27-year sentence for other robberies at the time and was jailed at the Old Bailey in October 2002 after admitting 13 charges of robbery and 13 of possessing an imitation firearm - a blank firing semi-automatic pistol.
A manhunt is under way after he failed to return to HMP Standford Hill open prison on the Isle of Sheppey."
So a violent convict who is serving 13 life sentences is allowed out of an open prison for a weekend, and does a runner.
Why was he in an "open prison" in the first place ? I'd expect a violent criminal to be securely locked up...
And how can he be allowed out for a weekend..He's supposed to be serving a life f3cking sentence

Just reading a couple of reports to try and see why he was let out - not found anything - but he's legged it twice before in similar circumstances.
It beggars belief really. Sack the incompetent f*ck*rs who allowed it to happen.

One day it will all be firewood.

There's an open prison near Derby. The inmates regularly "abscond" Still can't work out why they call it absconding though,,, they just walk out of the front gate. Best thing they could do is build a 40ft high solid brick wall round it with razor wire on the top, put in some steel gates, and re-name it a "Prison." (drop the word "open")

No doubt if it isn't the result of some do-gooder prison reform d1ckh3ad then you can probably guarantee the ECHR would be brought in to secure the prisoners 'uman rites.....
Don't take it personally......

It must be depressing when the police go to so much trouble, only to see such carelessness after wards.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

As far as I am aware, Britain is the only country where you can literally get away with murder.
The CPS, the courts and the parole boards all appear to be in it together. I have often asked myself why they do this and cannot work out any plausible reason.

Apparently they've caught him...perhaps they won't just give him a weekend off every now and again....

I think when he and his defence lawyer get their act together, the words 'human' and 'rights' are bound to feature prominently.kellys_eye wrote:Let's wait to hear of him suing the cops for 'rough handling'..... or somesuch
