I had the same problem for ages,I use an app called image resizer and I can now post photos.
The link to it is on a thread I posted in showcase gallery about stair spindles of all things!

If you are on a fairly modern version of windoze, right click on the image, select "open with" then "Paint"....

Somewhere near top left will be an option to *resize* click on that then *Pixels*

then you will have 2 boxes one will have a higher value than the other..in the one with the higher value enter *1200* the maximum this forum will allow (The other box should change automatically)..

save ......

Of course all of the above assumes you are using a personal computer...

Edit.....because I'm a bit like that...If I want to take a photo, I'll use a camera..If I want to make a phone call or send a text, I'll use my mob phone...If I want to make a post on a forum..I'll use my laptop....

And If I want to read a book I'll buy it when comes out in paperback..(No kindle ..no downloading the f.ing thing......)

Far better than before...Although, I'm not sure the base rail works slung under the original banister rail. Looks a little odd. There's your critique

thanks Wes, got a couple of bits to finish (should of said that) - where the base rail is wider at the bottom than the handrail I'm going to piece in some 6mm quadrant (I've allowed for it when setting out) and it'll all be painted white in the end - will post the final pics.
