Custom hinge on integrated fridge
Hi Guys,
This looks like a great forum and since my flat is getting on a bit, I could be here often : )
The top left hinge of my integrated fridge has just given out on me and was looking to replace it myself.
However, I’ve got an issue with the way in which the previous hinge has been fitted. Instead of it being screwed to the front of the fridge, the hinge has been attached to the top of the fridge via an angled bracket attached to the hinge itself.
The odd thing is I cannot find any instances of this type of hinge (with the bracket attached) anywhere. Called indesit and they stated that they didn’t provide this type of bracket and cant find one online. The fitting instructions just show a normal hinge attached to the front.
My question is… Has anyone heard of this type of hinge/way of fitting? Could it be that the fitter had the bracket/hinge combo custom made?
If you need pics to illustrate this, I’ll lean the fridge out a bit and get a pic from above to show the arrangement.
Any help gratefully received,
Cheers all,
Nick

A pic would certainly help the Boys and Girls ID the fitting, I would seriously doubt it was custom made...

Re: Custom hinge on integrated fridge
OK,
Have attached some pics. There is a view from above the corner of the fridge which shows how the bracket screws in.
Two side pics show the bracket attached to the back of the hinge. This is the mystery attachment!
In answer to speed, its a tower fridge/freezer combo with the top left hinge bent. The doors are sagging and it appears to be that the hinge has bent. Thus the need to try and track down this replacement!
any help gratefully received..

Re: Custom hinge on integrated fridge
On that page the top number is the appliance model and the bottom one is that site's own stock code, the item shown is the top right hinge. The mfr. part number for top left hinge seems to be C00256308 and they've got one here:
http://www.indesit-spares.co.uk/hinge-u ... 6U-JHZqD4Y
Lower left hinge is C00256305, OP ought to replace at same time:
