I have an HP photosmart 7510 printer. I had a problem with the software so I uninstalled the software and downloaded the updated software from the HP site. When I tried to install it I was amazed to be told that I was installing the software for the Samsung Kries mobile phone USB. I did have the Samsung software on my computer so I uninstalled it. I tried to install the HP software again but no luck. I was still told I was installing the software for the Samsung Kries USB mobile even though I had uninstalled the software. If I tried to continue with the download I was eventually informed that the install had not completed. I contacted HP and they assured me that it was impossible for the downloaded files to be the Samsung software. I have uninstalled the Samsung Kries software but the same still happens. How do I completely uninstall all traces of the Kries software. I uninstalled the software by the usual method of Control Panel clicked on Kries and uninstalled. Obviously this does not uninstall the software completely. Has anyone any ideas how to get over this problem. I am afraid to purchase another printer in case the same thing happens. Any help much appreciated.

Re: Software problems
Have you tried "system restore" ?
Seems that kies does cause a lot of problems.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Re: Software problems
You may have to delete the entry in the registry. Download and install a program called CCleaner (get the free version) and it will clean out your registry. This is a place where Windows stores a lot of application settings and other boring bits that they don't want you to see.
It's quite strange that the HP installer is triggering the Samsung application though.
Also, once you've cleaned your registry, use the same program to do a thorough system clean (it will delete all cached files, temp files etc.
You won't need to do a system restore, not at this point.
