ordered some slate floor tiles from Topps and found that they had provided ceramic tile adhesive (Topps Tiles own brand) I queried this with the manager who assures me that it will be ok, is this true?

If it's this one http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod40426/ ... esive.html

Then. Yes. it is suitable for slate and natural stone.

Edit... Also available in grey.

Edit 2. Assuming you are laying onto a solid floor.

Topps Tiles Rapid-set floor tile adhesive, states 'ceramic' with a tick.

Onto a concrete floor.

Strictly speaking yes you could use it but personally I wouldn't and would opt for a flexible rapid set which is more suited.

Although there is not a chance in hell I would pay £31 for toppfix. Topps is very dear for adhesive, especially the prices they charge joe public.
