Tough call, and I'm glad you went with 5 cos I couldn't get it down to three. All time faves as follows,

1. Stone Roses (1989) The whole album, obviously, but I am the resurrection in particular, all 8:12 minutes of it.

2. Small Faces - All or Nothing.

3. James - Tomorrow.

4. The Killers - All these things that I have done.

5. Otis Redding - A change is gonna come.

The stone roses(the stone roses 1989)is my favourite album of all time, bar none. I couldn't put a track in my top five as the whole album is pure gold, not a duffer on it and it'd have done an injustice to any of the tracks if I'd had singled out just one.
So I have to agree with your no1 choice,my top 5 is now a top 6 with the roses at no1 :salute:
Forgot how good james were as well, getting away with it(all messed up) my favourite track.

The Pretender - Jackson Browne
The Weight - The Band
Sara - Fleetwood Mac
Telegraph Road - Dire Straits
Born to run - The Boss

I can't possibly have three (or five) favourites, there's just too many great ones out there, ask me tomorrow and they'd be different.

If we're having 6 then I'll stick Ocean Colour Scene it too, Robin Hood. Excited because I see them in February, 25th anniversary an acoustic set - should be unreal.
Music died when they started manufacturing music and preventing real music by real bands of real mates with a real message and style from making it big.

If we're having 6 we might as well.. Amy Winehouse Back to Black (Album).

I had to google Ajay's no1, but a fine list there, Jackson's playing in the background. As a kid I used to love listening to my dads Dire Straits Brothers in Arms CD, mint album.

Loose Fit, Stevie, gotta be a loose fit..

It can't be done, not by me anyway, I've already missed out the Doors, Pink Floyd, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffet, Bob Seeger, Van Morrison, Rolling Stones and many many more.

Good thread. :thumbright:

Some rock songs, but loads of other stuff by Bowie, ELO, Stones, Beatles, Elvis etc etc all spring to mind.

Rush - Xanadu
Arch Enemy - Heart of Darkness
Pink Floyd - Set Controls to the Heart of the Sun
The Distillers - Hall of Mirrors
AC/DC - Sin City

And Tom Jones' version of Leonard Cohen's Tower of Song is just sublime

Sorry that was 6. Dammit ::b

Hi,

Great question sj74 thanks for asking it; how about sticking a few zeros on the end of 5?

Nat King Cole (and Natalie) "Unforgettable".

Fleetwood Mac "Little lies".

Louis Armstrong "What a wonderful world".

Eric Clapton " Wonderful tonight".

Twinkle "Terry".

YouTube is the place to visit for all your favourites.

Kind regards, Col.
