Hi there,
I have recently been asked to change all of the unit doors and plinths in a kitchen. The customer currently has a dark brown colour and wants to change to beech. The only thing I'm worried about is the gap between two meeting doors which will show the dark brown colour of the units. It will create a noticeable contrast. The only thing I can think about doing is glueing edge banding around the front facing unit edges to cover up the dark brown.
If anybody has any better suggestion they will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Iain

Re: Kitchen Unit Doors
You could paint the existing edging to a matching Beech colour as it will take paint well. Get a colour match off a door using the scanner device and I am sure this will work well and it wil be easier than replacing the edging.

heeelllooo and welcome ialamont
i would explain the problem tell them it will add to the cost and let them choose to pay say£70 more
or leave it till your finished to see if they can live with it and possibly pay £100 at a different date to rectify
remember any waiting time and fiddle time could double the install time and cost to you if its tight on margin

Re: Kitchen Unit Doors
You can get plinth ending from bnq. You can iron them between the doors to cover the old colour between the doors

I was going to say do the edging but you will probably need a fair amount though, about 3m per unit(!) DWD's right, masking and a bit of painting would be the easier job I suppose.
