It's raining so I have half an hour, so some quick reviews... A couple of months ago my corded jig saw and corded grinder both packed up in the same week... As i already have some 18v makita kit I thought I would have a punt at their stuff.

DGA 452 grinder .... It's been great for me not having a cable, it's about the same weight as my old corded bosch, batteries last ok, maybe it is a bit down on power over the corded but I also have a 9" corded if I need more, I have used it to cut grind and sand and am happy with my purchase.

DJV 180 Jigsaw ... I din't use a jigsaw much but some times find em real handy. My first impression was that it was much heavier than my old bosch corded, after using it the extra weight is ok as it helps to keep it planted especially with down cut blades (I feel) batteries seem to last ok but I haven't given it any prolonged use and swap batteries about. I had a 4m cable on my corded so not having a cable at all is a great thing for me. It feels solidly built and seems to cut as true as other jigsaws I have used and was fine on the 15 & 18mm ply I was fitting last week... as with the grinder I am happy with the purchase.

DCL 180 Vacuum ... I saved the best until last... It's a little gem, bare unit was about £35. I think I am going to have to get another one as my Mrs keeps asking where "her" !! little hoover is, the filter system blocks up well before the hoover is anywhere near full and can be a pain but is a 10 second job to clear, just remove and tap it, batteries don't just cut out on it they die slowly but seem to last ages. It ain't going to pick bits of brick up and is not a Henry but for catching drill dust, doing the car/van/dog hair and a quick clear up after work it is great. If I lost it I would buy another one tomorrow.
