Is there a lot of tiles? Mdf isn't the best to tile on imo.
Are the tiles low level?

The boiler installer should've told you that you can't just box a flue in anymore it has to be fitted with inspection hatches. Gas fitters now have to classify such installations as At Risk and should technically ask your permission to turn it off. Of course you will refuse and it will get left on but they will issue a warning notice.
I'm sure that's not what you want to hear but obviously we have a duty to give you advice that stays within the regs. If you're happy that it's safe and don't mind the warning notices go ahead but if you can incorporate an inspection window it would make things easier - particularly if you come to sell or rent the place out:

Thanks for reply king Newport the boxing in is above the bath about head high I'd say about about 10 tiles or so? I'll try and dig out some pics
Thanks for your reply moderator so what iv done is illegal? Do you think I should put some hatches on or something?

Tbh I'd just leave it. It looks fine. Plus I'd wouldn't feel confident in the tile on Mdf over the tub

The better half wants it all to match with tiles
you know what there like! Ha. I think I might just take the Mdf off and ply it then tile on to ply? Would that work? Do you recomend any thickness of ply? Thanks

Yer I do know what there like haha. A good solid ply about 9mm and over and long as it's sturdy
