Laptop slowly but surely dying

I'm really annoyed - I've really looked after this machine, but often web pages are now taking up to 10 seconds to load. I've tried all the so-called fixes, defrag, disc clean-up, malware bytes, Ccleaner, £50 worth of Kaspersky AV, firewalls, etc etc etc, none of it works.
A mate of mine said its porn sites and is really taking the mick, but the truth is that never has my screen been sullied with such stuff and I know that for a fact - I've had it password protected from new and no one else can use it.
My documents and photos are taking up a millionth of the available space too.
Surely the inevitable demise of your PC is an absolute outrage these days?

Have you run CC Cleaner?

If so then download a couple of add-ons (Firefox) called "Flash Block" and "Image and Flash Blocker".

It made a huge difference to my lappy speed.

Failing everything I recommend a complete re-install of Windoze (after a HDD format). Brutal but, sometimes, the easiest and quickest method of tidying things up.

Chappy I've been the same, I uninstalled Opera browser last night and it was crippling my computer, I did CNTRL/ALT/DEL and got the task manager up and the laptop was 100% maxxed with opera with only one or two windows open.

I'm on Chrome now, but I think it is a Flash thing because after 1/2 an hour watching you tube it just stutters to a halt just the same.
I thought it was my wifi playing up but now I think it's the Flash what's doing it.

Still none the wiser and not much help to you sorry!

Chop mentions Task Manager (Alt-Ctrl-Del) which can show the resources various programs are taking. Worth having a look and posting a pic of the full list (shift-Prtscn then paste into a graphics program, MS Paint if you don't have one, resize and post here).

Have you ever cleared your History/Browser Cache? If you never do this, it builds up to an awful big chunk of disk space, and a build-up of Cookies can slow a browser down. Opera is not particularly known for being greedy, unlike Firefox, which really needs the cache cleared every now and then.

And have you ever physically cleaned the machine? A clogged air inlet or fan can lead to an overheating Motherboard and/or CPU, which will also slow it right down. Not so easy with a laptop, I know, but it is possible to open it up and clean - use a wrist/earth band and leave the machine plugged into a turned-off socket while you're doing it, get a can of compressed air (Air-duster) to do the actual cleaning.

Have you tried cleaning the laptop? I mean physically opening it up and giving everything a damn good clean? Take the heat sink off the processor and clean the surfaces up and re-coat with heat sink compound, then re-seat the heat sink. Get a can of compressed air and blow everything out? Clean the fan/s. Clean everything including any air ducts etc. .... You'd be surprised how too much internal heat, can slow down any computer.

Edit, Chris beat me to it.
