Gents,

Looking for a new jigsaw, as I've never had a decent one (partly) and also got lots to do with one coming up.

Looking at this: http://www.screwfix.com/p/bosch-gst90be ... Aq2C8P8HAQ

Any thoughts? Anything better for the money?

So I'm thinking you were too late for the Dewalt one half price at Wickes?

Just make sure all recommendations have jigsaws with fewer than three peices and a clear image of it's completeness on the front of the box......

but on a serious note...... I'm looking myself so I'll tack onto the various suggestions ta.... :thumbright:

I've been in three times and they keep checking stock. First time was no. Second was in Chesterfield, some 200 miles away. I got a mate who lives there to order it, but they rang back and said it was a stock error.

Third time I went in, shows why - he vanished into the stock room. Looks like they are 'hidden until asked for' which is really weird, but he had none and had no idea when they would.

Think it's a ghost chase, sadly. The other stuff they have though.....which is even weirder. I think it's a 'get you in the store' deal.

I have used bosch jigsaws for years so I'm biased.

Never had problems with them

I've had a Bosch GST135BCE for quite a few years - at the time it was a toss-up between the GST and a Festool Trion (PS300?). I tried both, but didn't rate the Trion as highly.

I've had two blue Bosch jigsaws and one Metabo in 30 odd years. I still have the Metabo, the first Bosch died aged 25 so I honourably retired it. They invented the jigsaw (or at least the bought the firm that did) so they've had time to develop a reliable product by now

Think the Festool wouldn't get past the missis, but I'm hearing positive things about the blue range of Bosche!

I reckon I'll get the screwfix one, unless there is a better one for a bit more?

It's always the same with tools, it's always another 20 quid.......

Another vote for the blue Bosch. Had one for years and it's done loads of work.
