Hi can any one give some advise on sealing the edges and under section of marine ply wood, what can be used? also the top section that is being tiled onto does this need to be primed with a primer that bonds with the manufactures adhesive? or can it be tiled straight onto?
many thanks

I used neat BAL primer for the tile face and water proof wood glue along the edges, nothing on the backside but would be pleased to hear from the Pro's ?

Re: sealing marine ply and tiling
Hi Thanks for your reply, I did ring Bal technical today and they suggested Bal bond SBR on edges and underside but didn't seem to fussed about putting any thing on the top surface before the tile adhesive went on, i thought they would of suggested using some between ply and tile adhesive but seems not, they said it wasn't needed and recommended Bal single part fast flex adhesive with Bal micromax2 grout with GT1 mixed in with it to increase flexibility.
