Review - Makita cordless vacuum

OK, so maybe not the most sexy of tools, but one that many in the business of making a mess in other peoples houses could do with - the Makita DCL180Z 18v cordless vacuum.
I got mine from Screwfix but am sure it can be bought from many other places. It cost me just short of £33 as a bare unit - ie it has no battery, case or charger - I already have a few Makita batteries.

I've not had it long but can say that it does all I wanted it to do - it will clear up any small amounts of dust or mess and save me lugging in my Henry. Being cordless it is easy to use outside or up a scaffold too.
It is very light, might not stand up to being dropped off a scaffold too often but is otherwise fairly well made.
Other reviews say that it needs emptying fairly often and the filter needs a clean too - no surprise in that, and part of the price for its portability.
So, all in all, a very useful tool for small jobs - I will be fitting sash window limiters to 9 rooms and being able to clear up in each room as I go will be great and will create the right impression with my client - happy days, as they say !
