Only place I've found them reasonably priced is eBay but the seller wants £80 to deliver to me (standard delivery is only £25 ggrrrr) He must think I'm on an island somewhere instead of the main A9 trunk route in Scotland.

The lift is only £95 so I'm not up for paying £80 on top.

Searched the net with no joy.

few questions,
do you need the lift due to unable to get the board to the height?
or need the lift to support the boards once they are there?

reason I ask if "its for holding them in place"...
did you know you could just use 2 lengths of wood in the shape of a "T" to support them once in place, cut slightly long so they basically spring up to stay where you put them. also this allows for variation in ceiling and floor heights. just make sure the support at the top making the "T" is fixed slightly higher than the upright, or you may damage the drywall when pulling it in place.
you will need a minimum of 2 "T" shaped lengths of timber to support a sheet of drywall. I know its stating the obvious, but you never know if someones not quite understood.

just a a cheaper option if you were unaware of it.

Thanks Teabag. Funnily enough I watched a video on the net yesterday showing how to use both a T 'thing' and also a Boardmate tool.

Anyway......no, I need it to be lifted as well as held. I'm tackling a large ceiling by myself and I'm just not strong enough to raise a full board above my head, lol.

I did consider hiring one.....and I may end up having to, but I would prefer to buy if poss as I have other rooms that will need doing down the line and don't fancy shelling out for multiple hires.

(It's not feasible to get all rooms done at once btw.)
