Looking for a bit of advice please, I have done quite a few bathrooms over the years ,but never a tiled bath panel .
I was going to use ply but found these on the web they are similar as the marmox kits.
My question is do you still need a frame under the bath
Plus any pointers would be helpful.

Never used them. If I was using them I would deffo use a frame, last thing you want is the tiling failing because there is too much flex....

On the marmox bath panel kit it shows no frame work.
So I am a bit like you bit surprised.

No experience at all lol TB but I would be opting for a frame so you can take the panel off - even after tiling - to do remedial plumbing work. So screw it into a frame and cover screws with silver domes after tiling so it can be easily removed at a later date?

A lot of baths these days don't need a frame for support, but I suppose they would if you are making a panel. That said the cement board in the video is pretty thick so probably wouldn't need a framework. There's nothing to stop you making one of course, and using thinner cement board(9-12mm)
I have used the cement board stuff before, and even the 12mm is pretty rigid. I imagine the stuff there won't flex.

Thanks Mate, I would highly recommend these tillable board. Just 2 batten to wall and one to the floor some mastic and its is rock solid.

Hi I am going to be using the same sort of panel as mentioned in this post.

The manufacturers instructions say that ready mixed cement must not be used for tiling.
Does anyone know the reason why, is there any primer that could be applied to allow ready mix to be used on the cement panel.

I have enough ready mix left and I do not want to have to buy a whole bag of adhesive just to tile such a small area unless I really need to.

Rule Two. Refer to rule one.

And also you state "Ready mixed cement". It isn't. It's a dispersion based adhesive.

Do yourself a favour. Buy a bag of proper cementatious addy ... it will save you aggro down the line.
