Heat Resistant Splashbacks

I have a 1100mm Rangemaster gas cooker which just fits in between the Base and wall units. However, the wall units come right down to the quartz worktop with only a 20mm gap.

I am concerned about the heat from the edge of the gas/electric cooker spilling on to the wall units.

Will a heat resistant splashback solve the problem

Thanks for your thoughts

No but complying with the regs may.

Can you post a pic showing the problem

I would say based on that that you are likely to need to remove a couple of wall units..
