Well I have started

Fitted carcasses all the back wall , for one reason or another they all virtually all needed more or less modification to fit , boiler et and the left hand one is reduced to 400 deep to miss the soil stack , just 2 top boxes now to fit on left and again far lef needs reducing for the soil stack.

CCU and double pole switches in stalled and wired I 3rd from left housing at top for all cooking appliances

Sorry poor photos taken with I pad just now can't be asked to get camera !

Looks good.

Just remember you will need to ensure the boiler cabinet is vented enough

As far as I am aware this boiler is ok without vent , I looked through the installation booklet says nowt , and it was in a cabinet in previous kitchen and none of the service blokes said anything.

Any way the service void to rear of cabinets is open and the cabinet around the boiler has no back at the boiler height and I left the old hood ducting open behind oven housings so that vents the lot.

Ok fair enough.

Good luck with the rest of the fit.

Bit of progress this weekend , sorted the electrics for the cooker related appliances. So CCU is fed from the existing 10mm2 cooker cable and MCB, serving 5 MCBs for Mian oven, combi oven , hob , warming draw, and extractor , all switch via double pole grid switches. Only the oven and warming draw are currently connected . This was the agreed method with one of my Electrical Contractors who is MIC EIC. Also run all the cables for various lighting options if we decide to do more than the current stuff. Used plinth to the left and right and above the units to finish and leave a flash gap or shadow gap depending on your point of view , the front of these are flush with where the front of the doors will be , doesn't really show actually but finishes things off. Leaving the rest off the doors off until I have done the peninsular ready for the Quartz. [attachment=1]image.jpg

Yes it is , don't seem to have to many troubles so far despite all the, warnings , none of the cabinets have been out of square etc other that when I cut the back off of the far left one to reduce its overal depth to 400mm , but it was sorted out when I screwed a new conti board back on it .

Oh I couldn't be bother with the silly little plastic strengthening blocks for under the oven shelves , I screwed in some 2x1 battens front to back.

Fin,,I have been lucky so far the wall near the window was about 4mm out of plumb top to bottom overall with a slight bow in the middle , left hand wall about 2mm out of plumb. The wall behind that row of full height units is no more than 5mm out in total plumb and straight .

I am lucky I suppose as I am not going around a corner anywhere.

Just screwed some grounds to the wall for,the start of the peninsular, this will form a 200mm service void that will look like a 200mm cupboard to all intents and purposes , will make up a frame that will look like a carcass externally and hold a semi fixed door , will post pics I know what mean !!!!

cool. look forward to seeing em. the kitchen im fitting is a U shaped kitchen. but one of the walls was quite far out of square. ended up having to chop off most of the service void from one end just to get it to all go in. done my head in. when i measured the width of the room at the end where the oven is going and the opposite end there was 35mm difference.

Not an awful lot left to do now , pretty much a few bits and peices a couple of door and the plinths. And of course my nemisis, painting.

Work tops , total disaster , we picked out what we wanted some time ago and put down a deposite , bit left of field but that is what she wanted Compac Apple green quartz. nice guy came and did templete , was very complimentary about the fit , level and squaness of the kitchen , was easy to template aparently , so was chuffed he said most kitchens fitted by DIY blokes like me are a nightmare!!!!

Phone call next day , the slab we ordered has been sold by the supplier to some one else and the price for an alternative by Silestone was considerably higher , well to say the least i was not amused and after a somewhat frank exchange of views it was agreed Silestone would be same price and the few extras i now wanted would be included in our original price , a quick phone around other local suppliers confirmed Apple green was out of production, now find that i am sticking with original company as it would cost me in the region of £700 to change albeit with 2-3 week delivery for Silestone

So all aplliances installled on a temp basis to ensure they work and keep her indoors from going barmy cooking in the ute room.

one point, what do you all do when you have white carcassess and the join between doors shows as a white strip?

Neff combi turned up a month early, don't like the side trims in two parts between the combi and warming drawer , spoke to Neff they do a special trim as a single part to join the two appliances , so ordered them.

Worktop arrived from Spain , machined and fitted

Still chuffed with the kitchen

Messed around in the utility room and have now refitted that lot and raised the washing machine and tumble dryer , she thinks its marvellous and gained many many brownie points
