Drilling holes for fixings into porcelain tiles

Whats the best diamond drill bits for drilling holes in porcelain tiles? Need to do around 30 holes.

Shower fixing kit, shower rail, shower screen, toilet to floor, vanity basin unit, towel radiator. Size of hole to fit a red wall plug.

In that case then try this,I've used this before and it performed a lot better than more expensive brands by some distance.

I tend to get my diamond drills from my local tiling shop for about 1/2 that price. To get the best life out of diamond drills you need to make sure you don't get them too hot.

By far the most cost effective solution - http://www.atsdiamondtools.co.uk/node/12

You'll get 15-20 holes out of each bit if you use them correctly, even more if you look after them.

Thanks for the link :thumbright: I very rarely have to drill into tiles but at that price I'm going to buy a few sizes for future use. Great value for money!

It says on their website that you can hold a wet sponge against the drill bit to keep cool, how is this acheived as not sure?
