Help! I can't remove a chisel bit from my parkside SDS drill

As the title says, it's stuck and I only did about half an hours worth of chiselling.
This is the first SDS drill I've ever owned so not very experienced with it yet, anyway I put the bit in the chuck as described in the instructions by pulling the collar back and it went in OK .
To remove it I pulled the collar back but it won't release the bit .
I would greatly appreciate any help and advice
Thank you
Mike

if the collar has a cover maybe you just sliding the cover back
so try gripping the cover tightly to grip the collar underneath

The collar slides back all the way and I've tried gripping the dust cover that the bit slides into and pulling but it won't release.
Is this sort of thing quite common or are some drills more prone than others?

Thank you big all for your comments, I really want to get to like using the drill and maybe in time I will learn all the nuances of these machines but at the moment I'm finding it hard to be positive about the drill if every time I use it I have to faff around changing bits!
There has to be a simple solution to getting the bits in and out easily, I just need to be guided in the right direction.

Did you use any grease/lubricant before inserting the drill bit/chisel ??

Is that how the instructions say to do it?
Mine is a different method, (and not a Parkside) but it might be worth a try: to insert a bit, that's all I do, just insert it - to remove a bit I have to turn the chuck slightly (anticlockwise, viewed from the pointy end of the bit) and pull it out.

No mate , there was no mention in the instructions so I didn't bother, should I have ? If so where would you apply the grease!

I don't seem to be able to turn the chuck at all and from what I have read is that the bits are generally held in place by a ball bearing system. I've tried tipping the chuck down and also had it pointing up in case it makes a difference but alas so far no joy.

I'm surprised. They used to come with a small amount of grease.. just a bit applied to the end of the chisel bit stops it from forming a "Mushroom head" on the bit.. which can make it impossible to remove..
Of course the good news is that you have kept the receipt.... and have a 3 year guarantee......
All SDS drills need some sorta lubrication (Sfaia)

Just a little dab on the fat end of the bit.
I keep an old 35mm film canister with grease in it in the drill box.
It was only half full when I put it in there twenty years ago and it's almost empty now - you don't need a lot.

Well if I can get the bloody thing out I will certainly put a dab of grease on the bit before I insert it but it looks like I'll just have to keep trying different things until it pops out .

I keep a little tupperware of grease in the box of my workzone (aldi) SDS, before putting the bit in I dunk it in the grease, never had a problem removing bits even after hours of chiselling concrete.

I use a Bosch 36V cordless almost every day. From time to time the SDS bit does get stuck. The last time it happened I had to jam the bit in a vice and use my body weight to pull the drill. It always comes out eventually.

Same as with my 36v Bosch, even though i always grease the bits, find it happens more when using bigger bits like my 16mm,
