Best cover version/remake of a song.
Whilst browsing YouTube as you do I came across a cover of the Rolling Stones song Dead Flowers by the hugely underrated Frankie Miller and I've got to say his version IMO is better than the original.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqsNuZBMRJs
Anybody else come across any songs where the cover version trumps the original??.
Katie Meluas cover of wonderful life trumps the original by Black as well IMO.

Melanie Safka's cover of The Rolling Stones 'Ruby Tuesday' - haven't heard it for twenty years but it sticks in my mind still.

Ah, yes, I did enjoy that - always had a liking for big-voiced female singer/songwriters.

Hayseed Dixie have made some "interesting" covers over the years, they are worth some time spent on YouTube

A little known artist, Sunday girl, aka Jade Williams (better known for the music in the Thomson's Advert)
Another small artist - Gabrielle Aplin (track from the John Lewis advert)
