What is it

Found in the garden earlier.

Looks like a lizard/dragon.
3 toes.
Length about 150mm from nose to tail.

It is a newt. Apparently they are big drinkers :lol:

And I thought I had a common Lizard in the garden.

Got loads of Frogs creaping about at the moment :roll:

It looks like a smooth newt aka common newt, they grow to around 10" - more than likely looking for his pond to get it on

Its a lot smaller than the pic steve, body was a guess 3" the tail about the same.

I moved it to a safer part of the garden under a rockery so unlikely to find it again.

There's about a dozen water butts and a sunken bath they can get it on in Flash provided the frogs don't object. :lol:

Usually got a Hawk Moth Caterpiller about this time they are pretty big, but crocodiles :shock: :shock:

That's funny, we also found a newt in our garden on friday, first time I have ever seen one here. He got stuck in a bucket that was catching rain water. I moved him to a shallow tray of water in a shaded corner with a stone to help him get out if he wanted to. I am hoping he sticks around and eats the bugs.
