No Broadband, what will you do?

Post by Someone-Else »

Although its a discussion I put it here because its to do with BB.

Following from my other post about BB devices have you ever wondered how you do without BB ? No ? try it and see, be honest about it.
We lost out BB for around 3 days, yes its not the end of the world, but I did not know how much I depend on having a BB connection. Yes I missed various forums, but its only a few days? what I missed most was online banking, and being able to check where I have to travel to (Google maps) Yes, we could have used phones, but the screens are too small and in general can be slow, and with no wifi even worse. (Can't use tablet as it only has wifi)

So if you lost BB what would you miss? No really, try not using it at all for a day and see how much you really do rely on it, I found it surprising.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

I've got a great 4g connection and when the broadband was off in my gaff for a few days it didn't affect me at all as I've no laptop and my i-phones 4g connection could pair with my iPad.
I only do online forums, shopping and social media so it didn't bother me at all. My banking is also on an app on my iPad so that was covered as well.
It did use a hefty chunk of my monthly data allowance from my phone in only a few days tho.
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

When i lived in the bush and antenna blew down or such I felt it, a kind of twitch because I wanted my emails so to believe i had friends and value! Or some such. But pretty quickly i just did all the things I had been putting off that had to be done or even the things i always intended to do - like fly-fish in the local lakes, ride through bush on my motorbike or shoot my bow (after making it and all the arrows and some of the broadheads). It was great! Taught me to use will to do those things.

Yes I too have a good 4g connection and have used it linked to my PC when I was without broadband for a few days.

Luckily I have a 10Gb contract, so didn't cost me either.
