casing is an american term for architrave, if you mean architave you fix architrave with nails, use either ovals or lost heads

if you mean door linings my prefered method of fixing is with screws, other carpenters use nails, each to his own

I'm with dirtydeeds, I try and put the screws where they'll be hidden by the door stop, or whatever it's called, and the architrave around the door with lost heads.

Sorry have seen different names at building suppliers. Door linings is what I meant to say. Have been fitting today only had a level. Can you give me idea of screw size length and diameter. Had to pack them out quite a bit. thanks

screw size from 5x90 to 6x150 depending on lining / opening and the backing (stud or brick / blockkwork)

plug size to suit

hide behind stop if possible

Thank you

Is that the site that is under construction or the bespoke cabinetry site?
