Was frying an egg, it exploded, did a backward flip and landed back in the pan sunny side down.

Damnedest thing I've every seen.

You're supposed to take it out of it's shell first......

I did wonder if it would make a difference

It just took off with a bang, left a few bit on the splash back hob etc did a flip and

Not had one do a full flip but had many jump a good few inches.

I think it may be because there is a bubble of air or water under them - tends to happen in a very hot pan.

You've got the pan too hot Mr Scruff..
