Opinions?

I've used these before, i now mainly use their goldscrew range.
Both are good value if the sizes are what you need and use most.

i would say they are probably about £15 if bought separate
they are £25 if bought seperateley
equivellent imperial from tool station about £25 as well
screws seem to have double or trippled in price over the last couple off years

not bad for a tenner for van stock

the silver ones i normally use for going into like rawl plugs

i use 90% silver in the workshop mostly with a countersunk bit as they are half the price off turbos and a second drill is easily to hand i i am only doing a handful i will use turbos as the cost savings arnt worth the extra effort

if these are the turbo gold silver equivalent they are good value as well

What's the difference between the turbo gold and turbo silver?

the colour i assume both are hardened both have a protective finish
i assume they both have the riffles on the threads the cutting tips and the self countersinking ribs under the head

I thought the same. I couldn't see any noticeable difference in the description and thought I must be missing something.

You can't go wrong for a tenner IMO.

The way I see it the deal is only good value if you are going to use all/most of those sizes...

True wine-o but as a joiner I'd use pretty much all of those sizes pretty quickly.
The average diyer might only use one or two sizes and in limited quantity but for 10 green queens it's not a bank breaker!

i went to axminster toolstation transtools for similar spec screws and they where all between £22-25
so providing 40-43% are used then the rest are free

I don't need any at the moment, but they look like a bargain.
I live about 5 miles from the nearest place that stocks things like screws. You could soon go through a tenner running around to get some screws when you run out. To say nothing of it being a PIA having to do that, so I usually try to keep some in stock for general use around the place. I always have bought boxes rather than small packs or whatever. Cheaper in the long run!
