Whats the difference Dulux Trade White and PBW?

Post by mstar »

Hello ppl,

quick question i am convinced on dulux trade thanks for the advice on here ppl

I wanted to do the ceilings and wall a white colour. However, i went to the the stores and got confused with Dulux vinyl matt in pure brilliant white and just 'white'
What would be the difference to newly plastered rooms? Will 'White' be a more dull white and won't look as good when you trying to create a light reflecting finish/room?
My woodword (architraves/skirting/stairs are PBW quick gloss)

I asked the shops no tester pots for Dulux trade vinyl matt in white or PWB so i can compare. And on can't find anything on website either :(

Pure Brilliant White is slightly whiter than standard white.. in the same way that there are 50 shades of grey..

(Actually there are more than 50 shades of grey but you get my drift)

As above, PBW is about as white as you can get, normal white doesn't quite have that gleam about it. Normal white has more warmth I think and I like it for walls. I prefer PBW for ceilings but it makes sense to just stick with one colour so tend to use white for both.
