i think the router is only metric but could off course be wrong
as 1/4" is 6.35mm and 1/2" is 12.7mm

Yes big all, its just 6mm and 8mm collets metric so limited in terms of router bits

The problem comes when people either buy the routers or router bits not realising they are metric, adn try to use them with imperial bits, and / or routers.
Nothing wrong with the tools themselves IMHO.
